Ship Repair: Bulbous Bow

on to next Ship Repair Reference In this project we visited the vessel offshore Togo, West Africa, to gather information and start the design process. The project was challenging being over 40 years old. There were no CAD information for the model and the inside of the damaged area was too wet for any 3D Scanning. We tracked down information as far as Canada and Japan to ensure we had the correct information to execute the design. We achieved 3mm accuracies and were proud to have this relatively difficult structure successfully completed.
