Boilermaker
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced boilermaker to join our team at 6Sigma Marine (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures such as boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels. The boilermaker should have experience in welding, cutting, and shaping metal to create customized components for industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures such as boilers, tanks, and pressure vessels according to engineering specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine project requirements.
- Weld metal components using manual or automated welding equipment.
- Cut and shape metal components using hand and power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills.
- Repair and maintain metal structures by replacing worn or defective parts.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure finished products meet industry standards.
- Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and other lifting equipment to move heavy metal components.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- South African permanent resident / citizen
- Relevant boilermaker qualifications
- Relevant certifications, including:
- Trade qualifications
- OPITO Bosiet with CA EBS
- OGUK medical with more than 1-year validity
- Passport
- Yellow fever
- Covid vaccine
- Seaman book
