Roustabout
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced offshore roustabout to join our team at 6Sigma Marine (Pty) Ltd. successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and operation of the offshore drilling rig. The offshore roustabout should be physically fit, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance and operation of the offshore drilling rig.
- Clean and maintain the rig, including painting, scrubbing, and sweeping.
- Assist with the handling and transportation of equipment and materials.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and filters on equipment.
- Assist with rigging and other tasks as directed by the supervisor.
- Adhere to industry standards and safety regulations for offshore drilling operations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- South African permanent resident / citizen
- Relevant roustabout qualifications
- Relevant certifications, including:
- Trade qualifications
- OPITO Bosiet with CA EBS
- OGUK medical with more than 1-year validity
- Passport
- Yellow fever
- Covid vaccine
- Seaman book
