Rope Access Technician
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced offshore rope access technician to join our team at 6Sigma Marine (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance and inspections on the offshore drilling rig using rope access techniques. The rope access technician should have experience in rope access and be comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and inspections on the offshore drilling rig using rope access techniques.
- Inspect and repair equipment, structures, and piping using rope access.
- Identify and report any potential hazards or safety concerns related to rope access work.
- Adhere to industry standards and safety regulations for rope access work.
- Maintain rope access equipment and ensure that it is in good working condition.
- Work with the rig crew to identify rope access needs and develop a plan of action.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- South African permanent resident / citizen
- Relevant rope access qualifications
- Relevant certifications, including:
- Trade qualifications
- OPITO Bosiet with CA EBS
- OGUK medical with more than 1-year validity
- Passport
- Yellow fever
- Covid vaccine
- Seaman book
