Rigger
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced offshore rigger to join our team at 6Sigma Marine (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, moving, and securing heavy equipment and materials on the offshore drilling rig. The rigger should have experience in rigging and be comfortable working in a high-pressure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle, move, and secure heavy equipment and materials on the offshore drilling rig.
- Operate cranes and other heavy machinery to lift and move equipment and materials.
- Rig and hoist equipment and materials into place using ropes, cables, chains, and pulleys.
- Ensure that all rigging work meets industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain rigging equipment and ensure that it is in good working condition.
- Work with the rig crew to identify rigging needs and develop a plan of action.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- South African permanent resident / citizen
- Relevant rigger qualifications
- Relevant certifications, including:
- Trade qualifications
- OPITO Bosiet with CA EBS
- OGUK medical with more than 1-year validity
- Passport
- Yellow fever
- Covid vaccine
- Seaman book
