Motorman
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced offshore motorman to join our team at 6Sigma Marine (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing drilling equipment, engines, and generators on offshore oil rigs. The motorman should have experience in working on drilling rigs and should be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair engines, generators, and drilling equipment on offshore oil rigs.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Assist in the installation and disassembly of equipment as required.
- Operate and maintain cranes, winches, and other machinery on the rig.
- Participate in safety meetings and drills to promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- South African permanent resident / citizen
- Relevant motorman qualifications
- Relevant certifications, including:
- Trade qualifications
- OPITO Bosiet with CA EBS
- OGUK medical with more than 1-year validity
- Passport
- Yellow fever
- Covid vaccine
- Seaman book
