Floorman/Roughneck
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced offshore floorman/roughneck to join our team at 6Sigma Marine (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the drilling operations on offshore oil rigs. The floorman/roughneck should have experience in working on drilling rigs and should be comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the drilling team in the operation of drilling equipment, including drilling rigs, mud pumps, and other auxiliary equipment.
- Handle drilling pipes and other equipment as required.
- Maintain and repair drilling equipment as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and painting equipment.
- Participate in safety meetings and drills to promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling operations and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- South African permanent resident / citizen
- Relevant floorman/roughneck qualifications
- Relevant certifications, including:
- Trade qualifications
- OPITO Bosiet with CA EBS
- OGUK medical with more than 1-year validity
- Passport
- Yellow fever
- Covid vaccine
- Seaman book
