Electrician
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced offshore electrician to join our team at 6Sigma Marine (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on offshore oil rigs. The electrician should have experience in working with high voltage systems and should be comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on offshore oil rigs, including generators, motors, switchboards, and lighting systems.
- Perform regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and malfunctions.
- Comply with regulations and industry standards for offshore electrical systems.
- Participate in safety meetings and drills to promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- South African permanent resident / citizen
- Relevant electrician qualifications
- Relevant certifications, including:
- Trade qualifications
- OPITO Bosiet with CA EBS
- OGUK medical with more than 1-year validity
- Passport
- Yellow fever
- Covid vaccine
- Seaman book
