Driller
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced offshore driller to join our team at 6Sigma Marine (Pty) Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating drilling equipment on offshore oil rigs and ensuring that drilling operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations. The offshore driller should have experience in operating drilling equipment and supervising drilling crews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate drilling equipment, including drilling rigs, mud pumps, and other auxiliary equipment, to drill for oil and gas in offshore locations.
- Supervise drilling crews and ensure that drilling operations are performed safely and efficiently.
- Monitor drilling operations and make adjustments to drilling parameters as required.
- Ensure that drilling equipment is maintained and repaired as necessary.
- Work with other members of the drilling team to plan and implement drilling operations.
- Comply with regulations and industry standards for offshore drilling operations.
- Participate in safety meetings and drills to promote a safe work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling operations, equipment maintenance, and personnel.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- South African permanent resident / citizen
- Relevant driller qualifications
- Relevant certifications, including:
- Trade qualifications
- OPITO Bosiet with CA EBS
- OGUK medical with more than 1-year validity
- Passport
- Yellow fever
- Covid vaccine
- Seaman book
